Local risks

Water Damage Risks in Murrieta Hot Springs

Warm Springs Creek

The creek runs under Murrieta Hot Springs Road and along the community on its way to Murrieta Creek. Before the December 2025 storm, the City put "Caution" and "Flooded" signs on Murrieta Hot Springs Road.

Storm water and runoff

Heavy winter rain can push water under doors and into garages. Water that comes in from outside is treated as black water and needs disinfection, not just drying.

Everyday leaks

Burst supply lines, water heaters and appliance leaks cause most water damage here, as anywhere in Murrieta.

About Murrieta Hot Springs

Murrieta Hot Springs was its own community until the City of Murrieta annexed it in 2002. It grew around the hot springs resort, which opened with a hotel and bathhouse in 1884, added the Stone Lodge in 1926 and closed in 1977. The property later became a Calvary Chapel Bible College campus and reopened as a spa resort in 2024.
